Rand Paul warns he may shut down impeachment trial rules if they block whistleblower testimony
"I'd advise Republicans not to participate in anything that doesn't allow defense witnesses."

oh okay

"I'm all in favor of the president calling Joe Biden, Hunter Biden and the whistleblower. ... I'd advise Republicans not to participate in anything that doesn't allow defense witnesses," Paul told reporters on Thursday.

rand was talking that "right to confront your accuser" shyt the other day but now saying trump should call the bidens...the bidens aint the accuser...the republican party is a landfill...

We thought this old fukk was Harvey Dent, Turned out he was Mr Magoo.
For the record, I don't feel like he went as hard in the paint as he could have to get us to where we are now. But, I do think its going to come out in the wash that when Barr became AG, he used something as leverage to force a premature conclusion to the investigation. What that ultimately was, is going to determine how history remembers Robert Mueller.

To me it looks like Mueller had his hands tied the entire time and by the time when the dishwasher salesmen delayed and Barr got in it was killed

Our institutions clearly weren't built for this and the Republicans weaponized political affiliation over country

It's really disheartening
All that may be true but Mueller had his chance to unleash the flutes at the House Judiciary hearing but ended up sounding like he had CTE.

Sometimes when faced with unconventional enemy, you have to resort to unconventional tactics.

You can’t play by the book(norms, not law) with an enemy who doesn’t even acknowledge the book exists.

You’re just giving the country an L by default.

Not an impartial observer to Rand Paul's bullshyt but I feel like he's trying to keep a different job actually

:patrice:

Are we talking an official job or job of asskisser? If it's the latter, then like Graham, I have no idea and can find no reason why he would make this switch to be super-pro-Trump.

I didn't have that role in mind but that is crucial to him and I regret the oversight on my part but I was thinking more along the lines of how he goes to bat for Russia more than he does his own constituents or the rule of law.
I'd also like to add that pattern with Paul has been going on before Trump was elected.

Prior to Trump, I've always thought he was this weird mix of libertarian, non-interventionist, and Constitutionalist.

But now post-Trump..... don't make me sad, breh. :mjcry:
