Those fools were bluffing.Only people that can testify on Trumps behalf are Mulvaney, Pompeo etc. and those fools don’t want any parts of testifying.
The only defense I can see is to smear every witness during the senate trial in order to give GOP senators some type of cover to vote against removal.
