@RachelLarris
It's interesting Ivanka picked this example because the thing Jefferson's enemies were accusing him of -- fathering a child with a slave -- was absolutely something he did. 6 times as a matter of fact. Jefferson was bemoaning being called out for something he actually did.
Ivanka Trump

The NJ guy is from the Jersey Shore area...so...yeah lol

The Minnesota one I don't know about...I assume it's the same type of situation

Here:
Collin Peterson represents a rural, conservative district in Minnesota that is VERY pro-Trump. He's represented the district since 1991. Republicans have wanted to get rid of him for a long time. He's about the "best" you can get out of that district. Any other person would be a Matt Gaetz-type Republican.

New - Tim Morrison told lawmakers Thursday he was concerned call transcript between Trump and Zelensky would leak and could have adverse ramifications.

Morrison was involved with discussions after the call about how to handle transcript, sources said. Morrison tells Congress he worried leaking of the transcript would have negative consequences

At times, Morrison’s attorney has instructed his client not to answer questions about interactions with the president, the sources said. Debbie Wasserman Shultz said there was a “tussle” between attorneys

Talked to two people today that voted for Trump in 2016.

They said he's an embarrassment, and would vote for Biden if he made it through. Ain't that some shyt. :patrice:
That's why you need middle of the road folks not far left folks. :yeshrug:

Of course granted they could be talking out of their ass but I really do believe a lot of folks are fed up with dude even if they won't come right out and say it. At the least they should want this crap to go away. Him getting reelected will not make shyt go away. And I believe they would definitely go with someone else yes even of another party if they weren't a complete polar opposite of their viewpoints.

You can't expect folks to abandon their views just because their party's candidate is awful. That's the thing. It's about trump but it's bigger than him too. That's why these far left candidates need to go sit down.

I personally expect Congress to go through with the impeachment proceedings. Democrats will vote to get rid of him on general principal..it's not a question of guilt or innocence. Dude was confessing his ass off about that call for days on end until somebody obviously straightened him out.

Republicans who are not worried about reelection will also vote to get rid of him. They are a minority now as many of them have retired or resigned.

Any republican up for reelection will not vote to oust trump. Forget it. :mjcry: His base feels he's the great white hope and you can't expect these dudes to give up their job. Rock and hard place. It's not right nor fair. Welcome to real life.

The symbolism of impeachment is important going into an election year. You gotta understand politics a little to understand that though. Many posters here think they understand it but really they just get emotional about anything that happens. Especially if it doesn't happen the way they personally envision it happening.

That's not how this shyt works. :usure:

Impeachment fails? It's just fuel to get folks out to vote more. This is also why having large chunks of the country in favor of impeachment is a good thing...for everyone wanting a rush on everything.:usure:

Think long term. :jawalrus:

I'm convinced Kevin McCarthy reads at the 3rd grade level and that is being generous

Scalise' poster :laff:

:mjtf:

White supremacy is failing upwards like a lot of these dumb hacks.

Scalise is a nitwit. But he knows these louisiana rightwingers expect nothing but trump loyalty from him. It's interesting to watch how far he'll go.
