I've been saying this for nearly two years now, Trump supporters are essentially America's sunken cost

I told my Republican voting relatives this the other day. Romney may not fukk with the Democrats but he knows Trump is an aberration and would have been removed from office any other period. We may have disagreed with Romney, McCain, even Bush and they may have disagreed back but there was some modicum of respect there since both sides had the same goal of upholding the Presidency and serving the American people even if we had fundamental disagreements about how to do it. There were still unsaid rules of engagement that both sides followed. Republicans may have always flirted with crossing the line but both sides knew not to go too far. Donald Trump took a shyt on those rules. No true Republican can call himself a Republican and a proud American yet accept someone like him even if you hate the Democrats. This is a political Game of Thrones. Starks are the left. The Republicans with a conscience (very few) are Jaime and Tyrion Lannister whereas 90% of the other Republicans are Cersei welcoming the White Walkers as long as it means winning All I can hope is eventually it comes crashing down.
