It might be Bernie or bust. If Bernie isn’t the nominee, can see a lot of his supporters staying home.
So the question is, what will hurt more nominating Bernie and alienating the moderates of the party or nominating a moderate and alienating the far left of the party ? This board myself included leans heavily to the left and I think we underestimate how many moderate Dems there are in comparison to progressive Dems. Hell I'm pretty far left and I'm not too keen on Bernie just because his m4a plan completely fukks me. I'll be paying between $4500-5000 more in taxes and I like my insurance. Nothing comes out of my check, my wife just had a baby, I only paid $300 out of pocket, it'll hurt but he still has my vote if he's the nominee.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised Romney voted to convict. :jbhmm:

He's not up for reelection this year, and even if he was Trump isn't really THAT popular in his state. So he doesn't have that much to lose and knows the history books will view it positively.

You think all Bernie supporters voted for Hillary? No thry did not.
Basically

I have supported Bernie since the last election cycle but I do not identify as a "Bernie Bro" because if Warren won, I'd support her as well, and yes, even Biden.

Them hardcore Bernie stans out there will stay home if he isn't the nominee, brehs.

Unless Bernie blatantly comes out and says "Do not be stupid, defeating Trump is more important than me being the President", the slightest whiff of any impropriety (SEE IOWA RIGHT NOW) will make them stay home this year

Romney's got the spirit of McCain in him. :francis:

At least had the sense not to convict on the second count. That was ludicrous.

We know, but you would think by now they would appreciate it can go both ways.

If neither side can put the conspiracy theories and bitterness aside, Trump wins, and that's not worth withholding your vote.

Time to grow up.
