Romney did the right thing.
See how easy that was? I said that without a militancy reaffirming qualifier and I wasn't struck by lightning. It's okay to acknowledge publicly that the opposition party did the right thing. That is what they are supposed to do. Both parties are supposed to do the right thing. I understand that they don't, so it should be applauded when they do. Even though it shouldn't have to be applauded. But we applaud what is common sense everyday anyway. We applaud and celebrate the right thing everyday anyway. Stop treating politics like a team sport and treat it like politics.
The House did their job and impeached Trump even if there was almost no chance he'd be convicted. Mitt Romney did his job (well, presumably, has he voted yet) and voted to convict even if his vote "wouldn't matter." The onus is on these elected officials to do what's right, even if the wrong outcome is certain due to other's cowardice.
