Theyve set the precedent. They're doing it for a stupid reason because as usual most republican policy just boils down to "give white people with a lot of money even more money"

But if a Democrat (who isn't a millionaire lawyer) shows up and says "I'm passing the savings on to you in the form of Medicaid expansion and stimulus checks " that's an EASY win.

Good this is what I want to see the most. I like Trumps idea of having an agreement with Russia and China to all collectively cut military spending 50%. And to be real this is do able especially since drones is the now and future compared to fighter jets.

Cutting the military budget will not make us less safe lmfao. Our military budget is bloated. Half the time they don't even know where the money went, and we give a bunch of contracts for equipment we have no use for.

What they need to do is tear up these contracts with all of these weapons makers and contractors that got you paying 150 million or more per jet and they don't even have pilots to fly them all and spending damn near 40k just to get one off the ground. I saw somewhere that the F-35 program cost over 1 trillion dollars. That makes no sense whatsoever. Also the amount they spend per weapon, down to the bullet is even more than a civilian would spend.
