The Meltdowns have been hilarious. Yes this is huge. First time since Nixon and Watergate. Talking about, "This is against precedent". Actually Politicians have been raided before. And President Nixon's Office was raided which lead to Watergate. The fact is nobody fully knows why the FBI raided him it's all been speculation about possible classified records. They will eventually have a press conference about it since he's a Former President. Obviously to get search warrant on a President has to be very difficult. It has to go through several high level legal channels to get an approval. At any point one of those channels could of shut this down but it got through so a Judge agreed there was probable cause to search.
Also I'm glad they did it now. I was thinking he would announce he's going to run early to try shield himself from criminal liability since Jan 6 issues. Yes for the most part Former Presidents have a form of immunity. But if you commit a crime, you can still be charged. With Nixon, Gerald Ford Pardoned him so he didn't face criminal liability. But I could see Trump eventually getting charged for something. You've got Jan 6 which he's clearly guilty. You got the Georgia Intimidation Phone Call situation and now this Raid. Will he get big time? I doubt it but I could see a charge happening. Trump has a lot of dirty laundry going back decades let alone during his Presidency. I'm just trying to think back what would happen if Barack ever got raided. Fox News would of been playing that coverage wall to wall, 24 hours a day, lol.
(The FBI Search of Former President Trump Mar Lago Home was on the Anniversary of Nixon's Resignation)
