I don't care about what the USSR did to the land decades ago.

I care about what it's like today.
In the last census ethnic Russians were only 58% of the population and it's ridiculous to believe such a high percentage voted in favor of joining Russia.
From your own link:

Post-referendum polls[edit]
The results of the survey by the Broadcasting Board of Governors, conducted 21–29 April 2014, showed that 83% of Crimeans felt that the results of the March 16 referendum on Crimea’s status likely reflected the views of most people there. Whereas, this view is shared only by 30% in the rest of Ukraine.[152]

According to the
Gallup's survey performed on 21–27 April, 82.8% of Crimean people consider the referendum results reflecting most Crimeans’ views,[153] and 73.9% of Crimeans say Crimea’s becoming part of Russia will make life better for themselves and their families, just 5.5% disagree.[153]

According to survey carried out by
Pew Research Center in April 2014, majority of Crimean residents say the referendum was free and fair (91%) and that the government in Kyiv ought to recognize the results of the vote (88%).[154]

A
poll of the Crimean public was taken by the Ukrainian branch of Germany's biggest market research organization, GfK, on 16–22 January 2015. According to its results: "Eighty-two percent of those polled said they fully supported Crimea's inclusion in Russia, and another 11 percent expressed partial support. Only 4 percent spoke out against it. ... Fifty-one percent reported their well-being had improved in the past year."[155]

Bloomberg's Leonid Bershidsky noted that "The calls were made on Jan. 16-22 to people living in towns with a population of 20,000 or more, which probably led to the peninsula's native population, the Tatars, being underrepresented because many of them live in small villages. On the other hand, no calls were placed in Sevastopol, the most pro-Russian city in Crimea. Even with these limitations, it was the most representative independent poll taken on the peninsula since its annexation."
[155]

Are Gallup, BBG, Pew and GfK all wrong?
Read the first link. The wiki link was to highlight how Russia used non-OSCE far-right wing people to observe (read: intimidate) during the "election". Wrt to those polls, I wouldn't take them at face value following an "election" where Russian citizens were allowed to vote.

We don't know what is in her emails but what we do know is that Trump said some treasonous shyt. That we don't know what is in her emails doesn't justify what Trump said either.

We know she deleted them to hide them from the FBI.

You're right though it doesn't justify Trump.

But you either have to give both candidates the soft glove or none.

There was no joke, he called on a hostile state to attack and influence the elections of our country.

This is treason.
Remember when Mitt Romney said Russia was America's #1 geopolitical enemy, and Democrats laughed and laughed and laughed at him? But now that Donald Trump jokes that Russia should release Hillary's supposedly lost emails, Russia is engaging in Cold War espionage and Trump should be hung?

Here, if I can admit that Hillary Clinton is not treasonous for joking about purposely deleting email evidence pertinent to an FBI investigation regarding national security, surely you can admit that Donald Trump is not treasonous for joking about the Russians recovering those allegedly lost emails and giving them to the authorities?

Thats not treasonous.

Thats like saying a suspect who makes a joke is treasonous.

And you have NO proof Trump was joking, outside of his supporters trying to downplay this comment and re-interpret it, as if we don't have video and context of language.
