It's more than him being some sacred hip hop treasure... but being that he is part of the hip hop community, that's fam. The generation is funny to me though, because the generation I grew up ALL back and supported Slick Rick and what he dealt with that is practically similar to what 21 Savage is dealing right now. Nobody was laughing or clowning or even blaming Slick Rick getting jammed up more than a decade ago, when they tried to deport him over some bullshyt with an expired Visa just because he was on the Tom Joyner Cruise.
Also, that money can only do so much... the between the lawyers and what the courts is going to try to suck him dry off and he cannot make any MORE dollars, that is being ceased. The system is fukked up and that has to be addressed, and Trump gives ZERO fukkS about it. If it is true that 21 Savage LONG applied for a Visa and it's been lost in the shuffle for YEARS as with the 64,000 plus of other that waiting due to the processed so backlogged, then it is this system that fukkED him over.
But, yea... I can understand trying to help raise money. We aren't knowledgeable of his financial status and him going to be in for good lord how long, that's money not going to feed his family. His children. Again, Slick Rick was put back into a detention prison and held in there for nearly TWO YEARS. And been battling with the whole ordeal until he received a full pardon from the NY Governor.
21 Savage is fukked and it is a sad situation. He came here as a child, not by his own choice. According to the website of Homeland Security, an expired visa isn't an automatic deportation out and people have been living here with expired Visas for years. The problem is the duration granted by Homeland Security after expiration of the Visa and 21 Savage not protected under the DREAM act. Nor would he be protected under DACA because even though he never was convicted of a felony and the charge, he's had a troubled childhood and been with several interactions against the law enforcement. His possible saving grace is that he HAVE FILED an U-Visa which supposedly protects individuals like him who experienced a troubled life with traumatic experience. The problem is again the SYSTEM that been fukking him and millions of others and have backlogged Visa applications. It makes no sense that 21 Savage applied for a U-Visa years ago, and they never came around to it, but want to bust him for being here so-called "illegally" despite coming in legally, and has nothing to do with why it expired. They should of at least gave him clemency because of him only being a child when he brought here, has been a law abiding citizen with an expunged criminal record and that he has filed and awaiting processing. He's already here in the United States so at least do what is right. But these AGENTS are devils that don't give two shyts about any black man that's trying to be successful, feeding his family, and helping those within his community.
