It's possible he naturally lost his accent....that's 100% possible. Suggesting otherwise is crazy.
However, he never would've blown up as an ATL trap/gangster rapper with a British accent. The shyt would've never happened in 1 million years.
So it's 100% possible he went out of his way to hide his accent. Did he do it to avoid deportation....who knows....but if you can't admit hiding his accent was advantageous to his rap career....you're on some stan shyt.
As far as how "gangsta" he really is....I'm not super familiar with him or his background but
at "he had a gun in middle school". That don't mean he's a gangster. I went to Central middle school down on Linwood in KCMO and in the mid 80's it was ground zero for Crips and Bloods invading the city....kids had guns, it didn't make them gangster. They were just scared.
Again, I have no idea how "real" he is. But the hero worship in these threads is crazy. People act like every rapper caught with a gun is John Wick.

My cousin is from the UK and moved to the US at age 12 or so, around the same age as 21 Savage did. She lost the accent by age 18. She recently moved back to England, I wonder if she'll get the British accent back.

one of my best friends from Queens was actually born in JACKSON Mississippi...He moved to Queens at about 12. He's about 32 now.
