Another thing that amazes me is that if he moved here as a pre-teen just before becoming a teen there's no way he could've lost his accent so fast.

The British accent is probably one of the most distinguishable accents there is and the fact he was born in London means he would of had a strong one too. No way he could of lost it so fast and no amount of time in any country could change that.
