I've never seen "True Romance". I just looked it up. Tarantino didn't direct or produce it, but he did at least co-write it. Does it count as a Quentin Tarantino Film? and Do y'all recommend it to people who like Tarantino's films?


Speaking of which, I finally watched "Reservoir Dogs" (along with "From Dusk Till Dawn", "Grindhouse: Planet Terror/Death Proof" & "Machete") for the first time ever last week. It was a good movie, but overrated. Tarantino has done better movies since than.

Im pretty sure he wrote the.script. When he sold it, someone probably made changes. It feels more like a Tarentino flick than Tony Scott to me.

RD is one of my favorite films ever and a Tarantino best imo. the whole movie takes part in like 1.5 different places, but its as tense as any movie Ive seen really.
talking about people who doing a job but dont trust each other, confined into tight space and tearing each other apart....its also prolly the most realistic Tarantino movie

really a movie where acting dialogue and directing dominate all the other bullshyt, and shows you can make a classic with peanuts for budget if you really know how to direct

By thinking it's praise is a little extreme. I remember watching and thinking to myself...this was it? I get that is directed well, but I just don't care much for the plot at the end of the day.

It might be a case in where I actually saw RD after true romance and pulp fiction. So maybe that plays a role in expecting to be absolutely blown away after loving those 2, but I was underwhelmed at the end.

RD is amazing when taking into context that it was his first film with little budget and was shot in basically one room for like 80% of the movie.
