Were you ever a youngbul and heard a rapper say what you should and shouldn't do and take it as gospel? Do you ever model your behavior after your favorite rapper? Are you more likely to take advice from a song then people you know?:ohhh:

not me because i know for a fact i'll beat the sh!t out of 95% of these rappers, how can i emulate and take advice from people i'd son? makes no sense

but maddddddddd people do that though, no doubt about it, thats whats wrong with hip hop, these n!ggas are the absolute worst role models ever

So people idolize Tupac on everything else but when someone suggests something Pac said he actually went through coming up it's GIF hour

OK.

i don't idolize anyone, point blank period... however, there are many people out there that have dropped pearls of wisdom on young brew and are worth emulating on some level or another... however, i wouldn't call them a second dad... a dad should be more than someone that dropped some lines of knowledge on you... that's a powerful word to ascribe to such a small role that rappers play in one's life... so if my boy says, "c'mon on brew, hit this blunt," and i do, he becomes my daddy? what kind of sick homo-erotic shyt is that?

you're the one that used the word "dad"... why would you use that word of all words?
Because a rapper could have more influence over someone then just getting them to hit weed in your little fantasy there() they are like role models and people that kids without fathers can look up to and emulate. Even for dudes that have fathers in their lives, they could see a rapper's life as something more respectable and something they want to attain.

I wouldn't say all that. Nothing can replace my father, but if you weed through some of the bullshyt, ignorance, violent lyrics and whatever else, there are a lot gems and life lessons to be heard. That's why I listen to the L.O.X. so much. Jada and Styles are notorious for dropping jewels, a few nikkaz catch em, most nikkaz don't.

Styles even said it himself on "We're Back"
"What else can I say that the others didn't,
L.O.X. taught you everything that your mother didn't".
