Aged better my ass. Illmatic is looked at by most Hip Hop connoisseurs as timeless and the culture's zenith musically and It Was Written, along with Cuban Linx, is the influence to what a good portion of Hip Hop fans consider Jay's best album (Reasonable Doubt).

This nikka got the nerve to call Illmatic dusty :beli:
Before Nas, he was rhyming like the Fu-Shnickens.

Lmfao this is a lie. RD, blueprint, black album, American gangster, and 4:44 are better than the majority of nas albums.

Nas's third best album, stillmatic, isn't better than any of those and its on the level of jay's vol albums. The main problem with stillmatic is it's production
Stillmatic is better than every Jay album except RD.

RD ain't Jay's best album tho, its clearly the Blueprint....y'all just love clinging onto any and everything 90s, just because.
If Jay never said it, y'all wouldn't even think to instinctively herald it as his best project the way y'all do.....and I love that album.

And as for Nas' discography, that shyt gets extremely overhyped on the internet , outside of a track or two off Illmatic; the entire It Was Written ; and a few tracks here and there from Stillmatic and Lost Tapes; his shyt has no replay value. Let's just keep it a buck. But y'all got such a man crush on the dude that y'all live in this alternative reality where y'all put him in the weigh class as Jay in terms of discography. The shyt ain't close tbh.
And let me rephrase, I said DISCOGRAPHY not as a rapper. He's clearly up there, if not better than him as a rapper, for wateva that's worth.

You wanna go revisit Kingdom Come, Magna Carter, Blueprint 2, Blueprint 3 and Vol. 2, Vol. 3 and Dynasty and come back again? You saying only a few tracks off Illmatic, Stillmatic and Lost Tapes are replayable is fukking hilarious.

Nas' discography is much more consistent than Jay's and it ain't even close.

I'm not mad at anyone preferring one over the other, both are great albums...RD does have a more "classic" sound production wise than IWW, which has some glossier beats mixed with the more boom bap beats...but something is just special about IWW, it's like a perfect blend of street and commercial...also IWW doesn't have a song on it that is as bad as Ain't No nikka, that's the one track on RD I don't really fukk wit

Reasonable Doubt is a class above IWW, but I'd put it below Illmatic, only due to Illmatic's conciseness.

Blueprint and Black Album are probably better than IWW too.

Jay has been putting out better music than Nas because he picks beats better than Nas and he's more versatile. Simple as. Even Jay has had a lot of mishaps in his discography, but Nas is literally deaf and his albums are a reflection of that.

Is Nastradamus/ I Am included in that run of "consistency"? What about the N.I.G.G.E.R. album?
Fam, I know Nas well, as I was super stan all through my teenage years. I know EXACTLY what was said about Nas' "consistency" before Stillmatic.
