How was this a waste of time? It showed how rust and Marty fell out. It showed how rust was being consumed by this case. It showed how huge the cover up. It showed that after setting up slim Charles and fat rick with the bricks, vandoplous dipped from b more to the south and is under a new name as a police officer. Mad things went down bro.

The coolest thing was rust never fixed that light showing how he felt bad about the whole thing with Marty's wife.

I have to agree this episode was the weakest so far. Didn't really tell us anything we didn't already know. I figured this was coming being the 6th out of 8 episodes. I expect the heat to return on the final 2 episodes.

Episode had a lot less symbolism to it. The entire thing was dedicated to the affairs and the fallout. I'm assuming it serves as the final transition into the present.

Marty's wife is a cold hearted bytch. Not only because of what happened in 2002, but how she straight up lied to the detectives about the fallout between partners.
