You're speaking like every case is the same. If there is evidence to support beyond reasonable doubt that his client is not guilty of the serious crime he has been charged with, then it shouldn't be surprising that he is speaking to the public to convey that fact. He did not go into any details anyways.
no... you are NEVER supposed to go in the public and start speaking
if you are a public figure, yes... send someone in front of the camera... it should be short and sweet.. we deny these claims to the FULL extent... we will have our day in court and prove our client's innocence
see the problem is, you are not just up there talking to the jury... the prosecution also gets to counter any angle you come with.. the present their side... it's almost like football
you don't want to be rex ryan... blabbing to everyone your game plan... hey we gonna throw it on them 50 times... hey we gonna claim there's a second shooter
cause then the other team can prepare for it... hey we are going to be in dime all game.... hey we are going to focus 150% of our efforts on making charges so a second shooter doesn't matter... and we'll also go hard to find him so we can give him a deal to fry your ass for trying to embarrass us in public
