4 close family's of mine were hit extremely hard. All had kids or parents living in their houses, they had to be evacuated via boat. These are the moments I wish I could just help, whether with rescuing or money if i had it like that. Me and my unit did a lot for hurrican Katrina, so it hurts sitting back and watching this one unfold. Mattress Mac has been helping Houstonians for years no matter what happens. He's a real one.

This shyt needs to be studied. I hope this thread doesn't get deleted. The level of lightheartedness, disinformation, careless actions, and empathy is something to marvel.

I was just wondering about the Fred Hartman Bridge and how things were over that way earlier. I asked my sister if Baytown was really flooded. She only said a few areas but Kroger off of Garth Road was open and so are the Food Town grocery stores if anyone wanted to know. Mama and I will be taking a spin around the area later on today once the rain stops.

I just drove the work to the medical center and it was crazy seeing so many abandoned cars on the road. For me it was a straight shot 90/main street to Methodist. I'm pretty certain that I'll have to stay for the next 2-3 days so I brought a some extra clothes. Going to enjoy making this easy money for disaster pay.

It wasn't too bad when I came through. We're pretty well staffed so far which is good. My manager told me point blank to expect to be here until Thursday or possibly Friday.

In all honesty..
IMO,I truly don't see anything going back to normalcy in two weeks..
The clean up and people being able to go home will take months..
My girl says by Christmas..
I say by next summer..
My homie lives in some lofts downtown and the pictures he has texted
I wish I could get him but that shyt is literally water world on top of some The Last of Us video game..
Not to mention this reservoir shyt got parts of 99, Richmond looking the same..
I live maybe 10 minutes from Aliana(relatively new sub division) and people were evacuating from that..
Just don't see any improvement coming anytime soon.
I want to be optimistic but this shyt is unreal/surreal..
