Why NXT got better looking titles than the main brand :francis:

The UK Championship is a nice looking title also

Hate to say it since he's literally all in the videos, but one brand has Triple H managing it and the other doesn't :russ:

Trips is an old school guy and wants to modernize the stuff he grew up on. I'm really curious to see what things will look and feel like when he's in charge. Whether he just becomes Vince jr or carves out his own legacy

I think the latter is more likely than the former. You look at NXT and 205 Live (which is now his thing), along with the Mae Young Classic, CWC, and the UK Tournament and it's clear that Triple H has a very different vision for what WWE/wrestling looks like in the 21st century than Vince.

Now the big question mark is how will he translate his vision to Raw and Smackdown. All the shows I mentioned are great, but by nature of being confined to the network are inherently more niche than the two televised shows. Triple H has shown himself to have a handle on making wrestling shows for people who already like wrestling the way he does, and collaborating with others to realize those shows (just based on what little we know, Trips is faaaaar more collaborative and more willing to delegate than Vince) but we don't know how that will translate to a larger audience.

Personally, I think they should let him have Smackdown. Even just for a couple months. I think then we'd have a clearer picture of what the product will look like when he and Steph take over.

He’s already got Smackdown and look what he’s done to the show :mjcry:

Giving him smackdown would be huge. Especially because you're right in that he's very good at producing wrestling shows for people who like wrestling and its unclear how that translates to a mainstream audience. Smackdown would be a good test. I'd love to see that

Does he? I know Road Dogg is head writer, but I don't think Trips has full control like he does with NXT. I mean, just looking at the quality of the two shows, I'd have a hard time believing the same guy is at the head of both. But I've been wrong before. :yeshrug:

I think it's likely too. Vince will probably have an iron grip on Raw till he leaves this mortal coil, but I feel like he could be convinced to part with Smackdown for a while.

He definitely has control of 205 Live and he's drastically improved the quality of the show.
