People forgot about this. RIGHT at the height of the Bloodline storyline.
This was 2 and half years ago and he hasn't done anything interesting.
People gassing up this "puppet strings" thing like there was gonna be a big payoff where he's the "Higher Power of the WWE."
Very very obvious worked shoot. HHH loves this dude. The last guy he pushed in NXT, the second Vince was gone he brought him back into the fold. It's just the fans have not given a shyt about him until like...the last month. He's going to get his shot more than he deserves the rest of the year.
That said, it was a pretty good promo. If he can do that type of quality promo and intensity on a regular basis and not shyt the bed in the ring, he will eat very well in the next year or two. But the in ring part is woof.
