IMO this should be the time they scale back PLE's. They should have done it years ago after the network was launched. Stick with the four classics (Rumble, Mania, Summerslam, Survivor Series) and add in 1-2 International ones along with the 1-2 Saudi Blood Money Propaganda events (not sure if they are required to do 1 or 2 with the deal they signed over there).

They do feel more special when they are less frequent.

Forces more long term story telling as you don’t have to feel obligated to pay off a feud or a story on a month.

Helps make the weekly product feel like a bigger deal, can have more high level matches with titles legitimately on the line (see these IC and US title matches for reference) without having to wait until a PLE to see those matches.

It's definitely not... they ain't goin' back to no 4-5 times a year shyt at all, it'd be crazy to go back to the 1994 schedule for no reason.

What was bad was around '17 when they were doing one on the network like every two weeks. We don't need that, or doing two in the same month... one per month is still a good, consistent flow.

6 would be the sweet spot imo. Something like:

January: Royal Rumble
March: Wrestlemania
May: King of the Ring (Saudi ppv)
July: Summerslam
September: Clash at the Castle (UK ppv)
November: Survivor Series
