Writing has been on the wall for a while now. More international PLEs where they charge higher prices, plus more free agent signings, plus the cutting down of live events.

They done signed some big free agents the past six months or even past year to that point & I'm sure those they got rid of weren't high on the payroll. They did get new tv deals tho. I know raw and sd got bigger deals & nxt might have also or around the same. Guess it depends on how much of those new deals were used for new talent signings.

I know they gonna tax that ass in Paris. I'm sure I remember the one in Lyons if i recall that being the location, was said to be high. And of course Summerslam at metlife since that's NYC area so that's already gonna be high plus second biggest PLE of the year. What's gotta be seen is how backlash looks in STL. Cuz that's not a big PLE or a major tourist city where they can justify large ticket costs.
I wonder how much blowback WWE gets when they try to command site fees for every TV taping in the future. If the economy starts to go to shyt that is going to be a hard sell

I think the economy is going to force WWE’s hand more than anything else as far as the outrageous ticket prices go. It’s not going to happen overnight but shyt has a chance to really go off the rails before long. I’m not going to politicize the thread though so I’ll just leave it at that.

And the death of international travel. I’m going to Vegas for mania and I’ve read it’s down real big in Vegas and it’s gonna especially effect their 2 night summer slam in New Jersey.

Especially bundling it in with a very cold UFC where it’s only two stars don’t ever fight

It's a complete collapse for flight bookings from Canada to the US. Theoretically, Canada would be the top country to be flying in to the US for WWE or AEW shows given the market for wrestling, proximity, and economics.

Passenger bookings on flight routes between Canada and the United States“have collapsed,” dropping by more than 70 per cent in every month through to the end of September 2025, according to new forward-looking flight data released by OAG Aviation Worldwide Ltd. (OAG).

The report by OAG said data for the upcoming season show a “striking decline” in total bookings compared to the same point last year. For example, by March 2024 there were 1,218,570 flights booked for April, while for April 2025, only 295,982 bookings have been recorded this month, a 75.7 per cent decline.

You can thank Piffy Boy's hero Donald Trump for this.

NYC typically expensive but even more so in the summer where more people may be traveling domestically. I think they got enough people in the area to fill the seats but even with being local they prolly don't want to spend a lot with it being a high COL city already. And any travelers gotta deal with high hotel prices against non wrestling fans.

Hadn't heard much on Vegas but that's not surprising. I remember in the past and when i been that a lot of the tourists are Asians especially from out in China. I heard they got some spot called Macau out there that's real nice so they prolly staying over there and not traveling all the way to the US.

Backlash may have the same issue. I looked and lots of floor seats still up and some are as high as $2k for front row. And not like that's a travel city like nyc or Vegas. I went last year for dynasty and landed in the morning, went to a cardinals game in the early afternoon, then the ppv at night and back to the airport. Other than the arch which looked like a waste of money, don't know what else there is to do that people would want to travel. Guessing they drop the price on those floor seats a lot more closer to show time tho. Lot of scalpers buy tickets too from what i see.

They got so many tariffs out now that who knows how crazy expensive it is to fly internationally. Prolly better to just drive down but even still be a hassle with all the issues going on.

Not surprised to hear Canada air travel down. Looked at Air Canada which is their biggest carrier and since mid December its down from above $25 to around $14.

Other smaller ones prolly worse.

Even TKO looks like it went down and tried to go back up but dipping back down so let's see how things look leading up to mania for that. They gotta find a way to make profit without pricing lot of people out or its likely going below $140 and possibly to $130.
