History is history. You go to school and read people’s agenda on the past. As you come of age, some question those things and others don’t.

I only know what the white man told me in elementary, middle and high school.

Could I do my own “research” and dig down to where or how the diaspora came to be? Read English, Spanish, Portuguese, and West African books to see their versions of the world. Sure.

I’m Garifuna anyway. Our language is a mix of African and South American (Arawakan) indigenous languages. Now what tribes does our language pull their words from is the question.
