Trevor's debate approach is commendable. It is the prefered manner IMHO...when dealing with a "informed pundit" type. My method is similiar, but I use the cut then heal method more. This is to wound and argument, then prop it up with a theoretical plausability "preempt the best responses from opponent"...only to destroy it completely in a conjecture/monologue with myself; while they listen. I embolden thier stance by attacking it, then give the illusion of common ground, then decapitate the whole premise.

Its a verbal version of this fight. The calm control wins everytime brehs...

He also had her to admit that she's not racist in real life, but just for a check. They are entertainers playing a role. Her being on a comedy show doesn't really push the WS narrative. TV persona does not equal real life persona.

But he won the elction and got lots and lots of exposure throughout his campaign. Donald Trump was ridiculed for half an hour by the president at the white house correspondents dinner. He was owned by John Oliver, John Steward and countless others and yet he first won the candidacy and then the election. You can't argue with these people, you can't expose them, you can't fight them by ridiculing them. You need to Limit the exposure they get and that means not giving them time on air.

I can't disagree with that, but I don't think that I'm more wrong in my assertion, but because she's so young, her core audience is probably those millennials who don't see color.

Her white supremacist views "Black people are 18 times more likely to shoot police" were aired and Noah tried to appeal to her to recognize our humanity. He failed. We're doomed.
