Im not one upping republicans, but I will point out democrats are just as ruthless. In some cases, worse.

This is why folks need to learn that liberal and conservative is just a red herring. White people are white regardless of their political identity. At the end of the day, they don't view us as equals. It doesn't matter how educated, attractive, or accomplished we are, we're all n-words to them.

These black conservatives are realizing their so called white friends are not only apathetic to their experiences, but are also complicit, and most often the ones saying racist things. I also bet a lot of them were bullied by black kids, and crossed over to the other side, because they could like Nirvana, chess, and Sunny Delight openly, and be accepted, or so they thought. They listened to their new friends say, "You're not like the other blacks", and they liked how that felt.

Black people and liberal White people used to be in the Republican party. The party used to be for the abolition of slavery, which is why it was the party of Lincoln.

The Southerners used to be in the Democratic Party. They fought to preserve slavery and to create and uphold segregation. Nixon referred to them as the "Silent Majority" and Reagan called them "Reagan Democrats." Those clowns voted against every single piece of Civil Rights Legislation ever proposed and they openly fought against Dr. King. They eventually switched to the Republican Party, when it became clear to them that the Democratic Party was going to continue to support Civil Rights Legislation. Fwiw, they are not fiscally or morally conservative, which is why they don't give a damn that they pass tax and spending bills that add to the national deficit; and they create criminal justice legislation aimed at Black people. They also openly attempt to strip the voting rights of Black people even to this very day. The shyt that you call Conservatism in the Republican Party today is cloak and dagger shyt for racism.

But she had to get "permission" to fund a viable "black" candidate in her home state.
