Auburn, breh.

39

:jbhmm:

sorry. but my point remains the same. :patrice: years of brutal hits at Auburn in the SEC (which to me is like taking pro hits from future Pro players in the SEC) That adds up before he ever signed to the NFL, and his mom is not considering that. CTE does not happen "quickly" they may have recently noticed the changes, but I guarantee this was onset in high school, or after time at Auburn (not to blame the school in any way) :whoa:

don't go creating this false ass narrative...a hit is a hit my g, regardless of the conference...and dude only had like 500 carries while there....wasn't like he was putting up Jalen Hurd # of carries

the same applies to most of his cohorts, similar age and older, too though right?

so are we about to see a number of players around this age range having the same condition? is he some freak accident anomoly?

seems more like schizo/bp for the age range.

:patrice:

Well keep in mind the answer is yes and no.:sas1:

He is a running back which is a brusing position, taking massive hits, and especially if youre lowering your head on impact. So Linebackers, Free Safetys, RB's, and Defenseless Receivers are always going to take the most brutal hits. So I imagine that yes, other ppl in his age range, in those positions above will be more likely to have symptoms of CTE- but not evry player period.:manny:

Also, everybodys brain is different. SO he may be showing signs now, and some may show years later. He may have played harder in college (physically) than others that were peers (he was a high draft pick)- So I think its not unreasonable to believe that its not a "freak anomaly" and yes others are/will be affected in his age range.

The easy excuse is to blame football, but there is probably something else going on with him. CTE has become the fallback excuse every time a football player acts crazy, but the are stories like this about athletes in every sport.

Sad story here and I hope Mason ends up ok and not another bad case of something tragic happening to a football player.

They shouldn't allow tackle football before middle school... maybe not even until 8th grade. With all the risks, there's no good reason to keep allowing children to do this to themselves and each other... none at all

No false narrative to be told. A hit is a hit. But just pointing out that there is general consensus that SEC football is on a different level. SEC is liter
