Politically yes. Biologically no. Still allowing white racism to dictate to how we identify is troubling. You guys oversimplify a very complicated discussion. White racists view all black people negatively but there's levels to racism. Not all racism is the same. Some acknowledge that he has a white mother which means they don't believe as @kermit da hustla a black person can be prominent without that white touch.

"Obama isn't really black" These are all things that are equally racist. One a person who says that isn't factually wrong but they are implying what's mentioned above.

You have light skin privilege that usually follows mixed raced heritage. Politically he is black though because he was born at a time where "colored" was still used on birth certificates. Today in 2013 where people are increasingly representing their mixed raced heritage you start to see what's happening politically and socially and that's an ever increasing anti-black America. You can be a little black, but not too black. Black women have seen their image diluted something serious by mixed raced "black" women solely identifying as black.
