Travis is a hodge podge of different aesthetics intended to cash in on youth angst. Everything is sort of rap influenced now and he cherrypicks from different aesthetics to stand out. Except he stands for nothing, and his extended family is a billionaire club.
His ethos has none of the traits of the groups he pays tribute to and wears on his shirts. It's hollow and while it plays up to Gen Z disillusionment, it's unspecific and really feels like distilled "counter culture" made in a lab. He's made music that I enjoy, but I can't sit down and listen to a whole project from him

I find it funny dudes complain about shyt like this but will glorify sampling records which feature in itself feature 6 or 7 musicians, producers, and song writers

You said all that about Travis but stan Drake ?I’m a Travis fan but everything Travis does is juiced with well thought out marketing and PR. Nothing he does feels like it’s actually being carried and consumed by the culture. Utopia felt like a dud without the Carti feature, Astroworld was carried by Sicko Mode.
He takes songs from other artist, he’s carried by features, He’s a bundle merchant. Kardashians, Nike, McDonald’s, WWE, everything he does is propped up by marketing and PR
He’s the first artist that I’ve seen bundle his way to a #1 song that fell completely off the charts the next week
