So we found an old mixtape he made in high school with his homeboy named OG Chess and ot was actually pretty flame. We would ask him about it and he would hate that shyt lol. He would pretend he didn't know what we were talking about and then we found out the nikka actually fukked his homeboy over to start his career and was trying to bury a secret past or some shyt. :mjlol:


Bruh it was a whole saga. That's why this thread was so funny to me because this goofy ass travis is the one I always see. I halfway cant believe this nikka is a damn superstar because we literally saw him come up from an awkward fukkboi and transformed into a household name damn near.

I think I remember seeing him on there in passing. For a while, people hated his music. Many people thought he was a weirdo if memory serves, but as time went on, he started getting stans on there. But I think I even read that very thread on there about what happened with his old music partner. There were stories about people claiming he stole beats and whatnot too. Can't be verified, so "allegedly", but... You never know.

People started giving him looks because he was pegged to be "Kanye's protege" back during the Cruel Summer/Yeezus era, but I think it was maybe... Days Before Rodeo is when people really started listening to his stuff seriously. I think the first song I ever heard from him was Uptown with Ferg, and I think the only reason why I even decided to listen to it was because of Wondagurl producing it. And that was after I heard what she did on Jay's MCHG album (the song "Crown"), became a fan after hearing that beat. Before then, I didn't really know about him or had much of an interest.

Crazy to see that same kid achieve all the success that he did. He manifested all of that. The era of when he came up absolutely played a part because that was right in the middle of the whole edgy, artistic, avant-garde phase of rap among the younger generation. Man, takes me back.
