Hip hop should be like a buffet catering to a vast array of different styles and experiences throughout black culture of America. Trap music is but one of those dishes served in the hip hop buffet and is a welcome balance to other forms and styles of hip hop. I co-sign this thread.

Just an opinion though..
To those saying/thinking that
"Trap Music" is the quintessential club music as opposed to
"Real Hip-Hop"..don't forget that those exact type of records were what was being played in the clubs when Hip-Hop was in its early years. So for all we know in the future there might be another shift and we'll be hearing some crazy shyt that embodies that generation's idea of
"Club Music" and what should be played there, in the popular clubs, and we'll be looking
while our grandkids
and say "You used to
dance to people bragging to you about them selling
DRUGS and destroying a community?"
The hope for that balance though, that future generations will find a medium between insane levels of ratchetness (to get the hoes popping) while having a level of social awareness and duty spread through music, would simply be a miracle
.
But yeah, "Trap Music" in a party/social setting > "Real Hip-Hop"
