Transformers Fans.... How hype were you for the trailers of the 1st few films

the trilogy for what its worth in cgi spectacle and graphics alone is flames... but it sucked hard afterwards.... storywise shyt made no sense whatsoever...

The hype started for me when people were posting CGI vids on YouTube before the film was released




I was wondering how they could pull off a live action version...then Paramount released the military base invasion scene...

That was good enough for me..


Sitting in the theater & hearing Optimus voice in the intro...it felt like a homecoming

VERY HYPED to again finally have Peter Cullen voice Optimus. Shyt brought a tear to my eye when i heard his voice. Didnt give a fuk about the story or the ugly ass bot designs.
Action sequences were kinda dope tho

You see I feel the complete opposite.Gary Chalk and David Kaye my Optimus prime and Megatron forever. They got fukking shafted.

It really does, I can remember watching the cartoon series growing up, we never had the concept of a live action movie.

I know Bay has close ties with Chevy so I get why most of the Autobots were GM vehicles. I wonder if he presented the idea to Porsche for Jazz and if that would have caused any issues or conflicts. We did get a hint of the Porsche dealer in the first few minutes.

First movie was great, the rest

The first was great, because executive producer Steven Spielberg was more hands on with the guiding Michael Bay through the movie. He had a simple premise for the movie, " A movie about a boy and his special car." Then Transformers made a lot of money and Steven had a lot of projects to attend to, so he said, "Take it away, Michael. " and Bay completely lost his mind.

I loved the teaser trailer for the first Transformers movie where we learned that we sent a satellite to Mars and a huge organic form (Starscream) attacked and obliterated it.



Everyone who knew of Transformers such as myself cheered when they saw the trailer and everyone who knew nothing was intrigued by it. They also had a brilliant viral marketing campaign with the Sector Seven website which if you fished around could find some interesting videos of Grimlock, Laserbeak, Reflector, G1 Bumblebee and G1 Starscream.




For the record, I also enjoyed Dark of the Moon and Bumblebee, but the rest of the franchise is .
