To be honest I would be the same about the acting but Bradley Martian (Nicole Peltz but I am a Bates Motel fan) and the guy who couldn't figure out his accent was freaking as pointless and worthless as the two younger actors in that last pirates movie.Bay outdid himself on every level in this one. The things he's good at and the things he's bad at were on steroids in this movie.
it was loud, stuff was blowing up just for the hell of it, and the explosions had explosions
acting is exactly what you'd expect. I didn't even try to fool myself that this was Shakespeare in the Park.
I just watched two robots fighting on the back of a giant, flying pterodactyl
don't try to make any sense of it, but if you like action it's a must see. There were easily 5 scenes in the movie that may have been the coolest action scenes I've seen in a movie before. easily.
had no idea homie from "Silicon Valley" was in this as well.
Michael Bay Doesn’t Care Who Hates ‘Transformers’

Michael Bay is calling your bluff.
According to the director, even his biggest critics will end up watching “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” the latest installment in his ever-growing franchise.
“They love to hate and I don’t care; let them hate,” he told MTV’s Josh Horowitz. “They’re still going to see the movie! I think it’s good to get a little tension. Very good.”
So far, “Age of Extinction” is the worst reviewed movie of the series with an 18% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The first “Transformers” movie has the highest with 57%. However, “Age of Extinction” has an A- Cinema Score.
Bay said it’s important for everyone to voice their opinions, as negative as they may be, as it only advances the conversation and drives him to create better films.
“I used to get bothered by it, but I think it’s good to get the dialogue going,” he said. “It makes me think, and it keeps me on my toes, so it’s good.”
“Age of Extinction” is evidently review-proof as it crushed the box office on Friday with $41.6 million Stateside — the biggest opening day of the year. It’s on track for a $104 million-plus debut, another best for 2014.
This might have been the worst movie I have ever spent $12 on in my life.
If you're not going to respect my opinion and cry about how I'm a movie snob or I shouldn't have been expecting The Godfather then shut the fukk up and don't read this.
For the record I saw it in non 3D IMAX. I can't imagine that 3D would have made it anymore enjoyable.
Mind numbing action with no breaks, embarrassingly cheesy dialogue, predictable one liners, melodramatic bullshyt and about an hour too long.
It was all there.....Michael Bay's signature hero intro shots, helicopters quickly diving to the left or right, flares seemingly coming out of nowhere, picturesque landscapes...NONE of it helped.
The action scenes were tight. But some of the shyt was just outlandish. Like when Optimus Prime ( I believe it was him, can't remember now) had the girl in his hand and he broke through the truck. You could clearly see that she would have surely died from that. I mean...I understanding talking alien robots requires some suspension of belief...but you have to ground it in some sort of reality for it to work. And shyt like this constantly took me out of the movie.
It's almost like Michael Bay should be allowed to shoot all of his action scenes and should have the B crew shoot the dialogue and story scenes. But then again....not even Scorcese can make "We don't have a home dad....it blew up" sound like a Oscar worthy line.

"Where is your warrant? My face is my warrant"
Man. fukk this movie. fukk Hollywood. And fukk Hasbro for selling out and ruining my childhood.
The original movie is still the best in the series.
Nikka your childhood was about selling toys
the ENTIRE transformers franchise plot and story was to sell plastic toys to little boys
And girls. I know this one hot chick who has a few G1 toys to this very day (Starscream was her favorite) and she just posted a pic of them on FB with no fukks given.
