Couple years ago I saw a documentary of a femmist that wanted to prove how easy life as a man is. She changed her appearance for a year and tried to live life as a man. 2 months in she was Spiraling into a suicidal depression and wanted to quit but rode it out for “science” shorty couldn’t get a date, make a friend , struggled at work , nothing. She ended making friends at the end with some old ass cacs because she joined a bowling club and that was the best day of her week :mjlol::mjlol:. She ended the experiment by deciding she wasn’t a feminist anymore because she realized “ the patriarchy” wasn’t the average male experience and the comments were red pill/Mgtow breeding ground.

they took it off YouTube for some reason :sas2::sas2:
Her name was Norah Vincent, there are still some clips from abc on YouTube

A woman that decided to be a man fukked around and found out that men don't act like women, is shell shocked about it and thinks we all are lacking affection not knowing that most of us don't want the kind of affection that she is missing because deep down inside she is still a woman

shyt ain't complicated, you earned that one star i gave you
:bryan: super succinct

Yall are making her point just because you don't like what she is. Men have higher rates of depression. Men have poorer health. Men have higher rates of suicide. Instead of addressing that we wear it like badges of honor because....................man?
Part of the issue people are having with this is that much of this is the same shyt we have always heard: People who are not men, who have not grown up as men trying to tell men what they need when in fact, it would be much easier to simply ask men what they want and actually listen. More often then not, even in situations where this is done, even on this board, you get men shamed for saying what they want and basically pushed into silence. If you want men to change, then the rest of society has to change to suit that change. In the end, men, actual men, should be the ones in control of this discussion and this change. It's like having a white person tell black people what they should want, even more so, one that has cosplayed as a black person for a short period of time. It's insulting. The fact this sentiment has to be explained is in itself a problem and if anything, the biggest issue here.

Me and the homies handshake into the lean in hug when we greeting each other. But a full blown hug hug, nah that would be weird and not in a society told it would be, but in a, that seems real uncomfortable type of way.
Shiiid after me being unconscious for 2 weeks and finally waking up in the hospital me and my homies hug like we brothers and say i love you after getting off the phone. One of my homies father happened to be admitted in the hospital around the same time I was and he didnt make it.. Life too short for that :yeshrug:

I don't find anything wrong with what you described. The phrase platonic intimacy bothers me because intimacy requires deliberate intention of more than just acknowledgement. Your example and even mine, we acknowledge that we hold other men in high regard and love them (brotherhood).

In my opinion, what's being described is an American male social construct because men in other cultures go as far as holding hands with their good male friends. But this goes back to the point of a person walking in the perspective of a man for 5 minutes and attempting to diagnose symptoms they're unqualified to diagnose.
