I'll be playing it upon release as they don't have any plans for a 2nd chapter remake until they see the reaction to this game.

I think this also rules out Kai until 2026 because no way does Falcom sign off on 2 Daybreak games and this one releasing inside of 10 or so months altogether.

According to this, GungHo Online Entertainmen will be publishing the translation, not Nisa. This remake and Kai have nothing to do with each other.

Falcom would be crazy to allow 3 modern main line level Trails games to be released inside of 10 months of each other. This remake and Kai would probably impact each other’s sales negatively because they’d both likely be end of the year titles. I think Kai probably comes out spring 2026 a bit more than a year from Daybreak 2.

I mean, the issue before was that Nisa was translating them all. I am not sure where you are getting 10 months of each other? Considering Nisa has the rerelease of Ys X to also do I would assume Kai won't come out till late 2026 at best.

Daybreak comes out in February of 2025 so Fall 2025 would really be 8 months or so from that but if we have them till December that would cram that game, Kai, and Sky 1 into that less than 10 months span starting from February.

Damn I fukking hate Estelle but I'll probably buy because a remake will probably make this game more bearable.
Estelle was a great protagonist. She was the heart and soul of the game. Don't see how you could dislike her and even want to bother playing this. Everyone else plays off her character.

She's an obnoxious moron who's basically a female shonen protagonist from the 90's. I'm playing it because I'm a completionist.

Well, the Chibi art style that was present in the Sky Trilogy and Crossbell saga grows on you imo. The only thing in those that you to mod the JP voice pack because that was the one thing it was def missing.

Imo the art style in Cold Steel 1 + 2 games which came off the Vita are much more dated imo. The jump to Cold Steel 3 which came from PS4 is a big jump to basically what we got now in Daybreak. Honestly I want them to do that before Crossbell since we just got the Crossbell games and CS 2 has a bug that isn't game breaking, but massively annoying.
