It was OK. Honestly, with Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz, I expected better, so maybe my expectations were too high going in. It had a Lifetime movie of the week feel to it, just with better acting. The real life story seems to be a little more complex than the way they played it on screen. It's obvious Burton is a fan of the real artists' work, and downplayed her culpability in this whole art fraud, playing up her role as a victim. I didn't quite buy it. Although Christoph makes a damn good villain, and did really well here. I'm sure the real life Walter Keane was a douchebag, but I would have liked to see more complexity go into the writing of his wife and the outcome.
Definitely a rental, maybe wait until it comes on cable.
