Yea I started watching it when it leaked and just couldn't get into it. Conjuring sequel and this should be good.
I wouldn't even say it's a bad movie..it's effective in what its trying to do but the fact that it undercuts the original is an issue for me

Most horror sequels suck. Only a few great ones I can think of.
Off the top of my head..paranormal activity 3, nightmare 3, new nightmare, evil dead 2..yeah that's all I got
I liked part 1 better but what about part 2 ruined it for you ? I think it was alittle bit less scary than the first but had its moments
The fact that they explained every damn scare in part 2. The stuff that wasn't explained? They gave a reason for it. When the door just opened? Explain. When the alarm went off? Explain.
It didn't ruin it for me but it undercut it by making it a less effective movie by explaining scares and for me, scares work best when there is no explanation. That shyt is scary. Once you start giving me reasons for them and I can make sense of it, I'm less scared and less intrigued
Ok that's what I thought . I agree im torn because I like things that tie everything together but idk if this kind of movie should .
It's cool to tie it togehter but not scares. You wanna tie mythology together and explain the woman in black? Cool but don't start telling me this thing I was afraid of was really nothing to be afraid of at all
