is this really the shyt that Cena's people are banking on making him a star? This and Bumblee? look man in Hollywood much like wrestling he's a white male muscle head which are a dime a dozen if the industry wanted. In fact I would argue he's almost outdated in that respect from a representation standpoint.
I do think he needs to mix it up with interesting roles and supporting roles still like Rock and Batista did . Say what you will about Rock's move into Hollywood and how some people feel he went through a lot of growing pains but I actually think movies like Southland Tales and Gridiron Gang were good for him even if they werent hits or great overall, the characters he had brought some good performances (I still think those two were his best performances in otherwise flawed films, plus he had a nice run of supporting roles/cameos). Cena was kind of doing that with Trainwreck, sisters and the Fall and I'll even say during his WWE studios phase of a decade ago there was an interesting attempt here or there (That movie with Danny Glover, though corny I could see on paper why they thought that might have worked)
I guess there is no right way for a wrestler to break into Hollywood, but I alway felt given how certain guys were great with promos, wrestlers could be much more good character actors than just slapstick comedy and 80s action inspired movies
