i mean he is a classic undrafted g league cac who wouldn't even be able to play as a backup for all his shortcomings, but thanks to this new era of nba he can flourish under a right system.
this league gives confidence to shooters who can shoot when they are hot. anybody who can shoot can score 30+ pts in this league once in a while. same doesn't apply in the past where good shooters with no D will sit his ass down and won't get the green light.
He's a 6'8", 215lb baller with a 33" vertical, a sweet jump shot and deep range and he's averaging.....wait for it.....11ppg. Why shouldn't he shoot when he's hot? You're saying that there was some time in bball history when a hot hand making threes was a bad thing?
Dell Curry was just 6'3", couldn't jump anything like that, didn't do anything other than shoot, sucked at defense, didn't even put up that many threes, and he averaged 15ppg in just 26mpg from 1992-1997, supposedly the "height" of good defense when short no-D no-athleticism players like him wouldn't have been able to make the league, right?
Look at that late-1990s defense! Look at that athleticism!
Best part is 5'10" 160lb Whiteside running around out there....and he's got 6 inches on the other point guard.
Steve Kerr said himself that the athleticism has improved too much and he wouldn't even be able to play in this era, and he was getting half the minutes at PG for the greatest team in NBA history. Duncan Robinson is just as good a shooter as Kerr but he's better off the dribble, 5 inches taller and a much better athlete and defender. Give it up, your argument here is terrible.
