Agreed I always hold my breath when I see “kidnapped” but it’s a domestic issue. Obviously parents can harm their own children but it conjures a wildly different scenario when it’s done by a stranger/party that didn’t previously have custody or caretaker access to the child.

Agree with your sentiment, but the legal definition doesn't. Even using 'abduction' conjures up similar differences.

Hope he gets to see his daughter soon but I hate how when parents take the kids breaking the custody agreement it's called Kidnapping, feels disingenuous.

Crazy parents kill and harm their children all the time. The parental instinct that should be in everyone isn’t. Also mothers very rarley loose custody of their kids unless there are serious issues. When there is a custody order and the other parent disregards it, it is most definitely kidnapping.

"The mother took the child", saying kidnapping like the article title makes people think of something else.

Who the person is doesn't matter. If you don't have custody of your child and you take them without the full custodial parent's knowledge, and it's been 4 months, that is kidnapping. It's called Parental Kidnapping, but it's still kidnapping.

If what Trae’s saying is 100% true, the child’s mom is moving extremely foul. Where’s the legal accountability? If roles were reversed, there’d be an FBI manhunt.

Could it be possible that there is more to this story that we know? Trae has a platform but what is the perspective from the other side? As we’ve seen Trae can present himself as a philanthropist and good guy one minute then turn around and orchestrate a situation like what happened to Z-Ro for his own personal vendettas. Similar stories with Mad Hatta from Hot97 and Mike Jones. Do people who’ve dealt with him personally know a side of him not being displayed on social media? I don’t think he’d just flat out lie about this. On the flip side, is it possible he’s done some foul things previously that this woman may be taking personal? Maybe. Still doesn’t make it right to weaponize the child.

Above all else…I hope the child is safe and a solution is reached for her ultimate well-being.
