I thought CJ Beathard had talent but he was never a fit in the Kyle Shanahan system. It was basically a coping mechanism for having not chosen Patrick Mahomes.or Deshaun Watson with the 1st round pick.

I see people now saying Shanny knew Purdy was the guy during training camp in his rookie year and they're just now reporting it. I said it before and I'm saying it again, me and a couple of others here called it during preseason that he looked like the best QB we had even though he was playing against fringe roster guys, we saw it. We just didn't know if he'd get a chance with everything invested in Lance.
