i thought i was going to be punching air tonight. there was a lot of dumb stuff the 9ers did but they were very fortunate with the packers dropping INTs and missing that 4th quarter FG.

hopefully brock was just rusty because he was really off his game. if 9ers need to tighten their offense up and lean more on CMC early and often.

No….. he had just that…. A good game.

He didn’t have a great game or fantastic game. But he didn’t have a bad game

Love had a bad game…. Don’t let them 2 tds fool yall….. he front runned in the first half but played like shyt in the latter half and he cost them the game
Yeah. You put your QB in the best position to win. This idiot passing in a fukking monsoon. The most basic coach would have ran the ball. They would have run all three backs. shyt is beyond frustrating. We won the game because of runs. This fukking dude man needs to be beaten with a spiked bat.

I mean, the book is kinda our on Brock at this stage of his career. And the Lions have Hutchinson that will give us fit with Deebo out.

Purdy had 2 that coulda got picked but 90% of his bad throws were a direct result of how bad the right side of the line is. If you look at most of his bad throws, McKivitz or the person rushing against him was right in Brock's face.

Maybe but those passes got us down the field on that final drive.

Purdy needs games like this for his growth and confidence. Cuz everyone always be saying “but Brock can’t….”

Well today he did, he played from behind for the majority of this game and in his final drive he got them down the field for the opportunity to score a TD and not kick a FG like that Cleveland game where Moody missed but everyone blamed him.

Today was a “growth” game, he didn’t crack

And that's not gonna stop happening next week, that's my point. "Attack the Niners QBs from the right side and take away his first read" it's a hilariously obvious strategy that somehow hasn't been done much against us this season.

I don't think this is an indictment on Brock but every defense is gonna abuse the right side in the 1 or hopefully 2 games left. Only way we can overcome it is preparing for run heavy games but I don't expect Kyle to get his head our of his ass. He's gonna keep putting Brock in bad situations.

So when I combine both issues, I certainly think we got exposed :yeshrug:

Kyle said they went with Logan Ryan because Ji'ayir had been out too long (4 weeks) and the way he plays + being a rookie, they basically wanted to go with a safer choice in a playoff veteran like Ryan. He praised Ji'ayir a ton but it really showed how scared he is of rookies that don't show All Pro potential from day 1.

Safety is a huge concern going forward imo, unless Jayir shows he can handle high pressure situations (if he ever sees the field).

I thought minus the slip on that 2nd td the safeties played fairly well. I can't wait to see Huf and Brown together.

That run he did was the death blow though. I'd like to see him take off when he has these dumb ass plays.

It's an easy fix, hit them with playaction. They pause just long enough, problem is, we didn't run enough and ran too many shotgun plays. Nobody on the team is comfortable with that.

I know, but you have too much faith in Kyle. I hope he gameplans for a run heavy game next week with some stuff we haven't seen much this season but I fully expect him to go pass heavy again.

And we also gotta understand that even though there's only 1 or 2 games left in the season, just praying the defense continues to get timely turnovers is a very dangerous recipe. The games we lost convincingly this season {Minny and Baltimore) the defense couldn't get turnovers and the opposing team just sliced us up. I do think we getting exposed in that regard as well. You can run on this team and our pass rush is not good enough so opposing QBs have enough time to find the receiver they need.

I hope we have more INT/fumble recovery in our pockets for what little is left, but besides that, there's not a lot to believe in with this defenses right now :manny:

I'm still trying to figure out what Love saw on that last play.

nikka turned into Mr Magoo :dahell:

I know it's cliche but he was trying to make a play from what I saw. The person that got the pick was damn near on the sideline and covered a lot of ground, and Love had too much faith in his arm strength throwing across his body.
