It's one game and we want to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Kyle Shanahan tried to get cute this game when he should have ran a ball control offense which we were doing at the beginning but abandoned it when Kittle broke those big gains. This is Kyle's biggest weakness and I think it is what is every coach has flaws.

Purdy had an awful game but he had been playing at an inhuman level the 6 weeks prior. I said the Ravens were the best defense we played and they have the best defense in the NFL. Even with the 4 INT game he is still playing at a top 5-8 level QB level.

Also the lack of discipline of the defense was really a killer of any momentum. We committed a lot of self inflicted penalties.

We can right the ship against Washington their defense is awful and while Jacoby Brissett is a decent game manager we should be able to outscore them.

I think the biggest thing is staying healthy while staying in pursuit of the 1 seed.

I think this offense is soft, any team that hits back and they’ll wilt

:ohhh:
Trent Williams. Deebo Samuels. Brandon Aiyuk. George Kittle. Christian McCaffrey. This offense is the complete opposite of soft. It's the toughest offense in the league. The problem is that we don't adjust well. 2/3 of those defenses are elite and have caused problems for all the other elite offenses. Sometimes the D wins the game :manny:

Are we the most hated franchise on The Coli? I get the Eagles, Packers and Cowboys cause their teams have all got blown out by us in recent years and of course our division rivals but there's Dolphins fans and shyt that hate us too? :mjlol:

Wild...
this our anthem the rest of the season

Brock Purdy looking funny in the light. If Brock Purdy continues to play like this I could see the 49ers losing to the Rams in the playoffs. Rams are trending up and beating them 3 straight times is going to be tough assuming the 49ers beat them week 17.

Completely agree, if Brock Purdy continues to throw 4 interceptions a game then the 49ers are in trouble #analysis

Y'all always want to run Shanny out of town after a loss but I never hear who you want as his replacement.
The only one that wants to fire Kyle every week is @jwonder. I was on that train last year but once dude got extended, it was pretty clear he has at least till the salary cap forces us to rebuild in a couple of more seasons.

But regardless of that, I hate the logic of "well, who do you want?". No one knows if a HC is gonna work with a talented team or not. Guys like Pederson, McVay, Arians or even Kubiak weren't home run hires but had upside and worked with stacked rosters and worked. I'll be a fool to pretend to know who could take the Niners to a ring.

What I do know is that our HC has glaring flaws and when they are so evident that costs us games, they become really frustrating and it's impossible to not call them out and shyt on Kyle's tendencies :manny:

I don't think the sky is falling. This type of L shows you the path to a ring or it shows you the way your season will eventually end in the playoffs.

I agree that Kyle's flaws are what they are and they will continue to show up in big games. We just gotta pray that when they do appear, the rest of the team can save his ass and that he can find his groove again. It's just hard because when things go wrong, they go REALLY wrong with this team so there's normally not a lot of margin to turn things around. The Philly game this season was a welcomed exception that I hope this stubborn a$$hole of a HC can replicate in the post season if needed.

The good thing is that we have so much talent and Kyle CAN come up with great gameplans that work. So we can be capable of playing with a lead and dominate in the playoffs. We'll see if we can pull it off, but the fact that it's a somewhat realistic scenario, our SB chances are still strong.

I'm scared about the OL that will play the next two weeks though. Both Purdy and CMC are gonna be in danger.

Soft might be the wrong term, but there's no question the offense has a legit issue when things don't go perfectly. Sometimes it's a machine that takes too long to reset (or to repair) when one piece is not working well. And good/great teams take advantage of it while we still groggy and then end up in too big of a hole to comeback from.

For the players we have, it's really frustrating that a 2 score deficit feels like something insurmountable when it should be the exact opposite. We should be able to snap out of flunks and be able to score 14-21 straight points when needed, but that's not the case, specially this season. And I don't think that can change in the next 6 weeks. It's a dominant run or bust for this team.

Wrong. I wanted Kyle fired after the Superbowl loss. Trust Eddie D would have sent his fakkit ass packing.

Five years later it's still the same shyt. There is reason why the OC should call the plays. It's hard to be HC and OC during the game with all the moving parts. But the biggest thing we continue to see is how he abandons the run in big games.

CMC 14 carries this game. Mostert 12 in the SB. Makes no sense at all.

Honestly, I think he was showcasing Purdy for mvp last night on a nationally televised game and it blew up in his face. We all know cmac is the mvp of this team.

Brock playing poorly in general interceptions or not will guarantee the 49ers don't make the Super Bowl.

Hold on. You're telling us that if the quarterback of a team doesn't play well in the playoffs, they will probably be eliminated?

Is that what you're saying?
Yeah I'm saying Brock is Mid and will be the reason why the 49ers don't make Super Bowl smart ass.

Is that an accurate statement? Purdy throws to his second and third reads pretty consistently and extends plays with his legs and adlibs quite a bit.
:dead: at being this obtuse. By not going perfectly I meant when the gameplanand usual plays clearly aren't working. Both Cleveland and Baltimore made it very hard for Brock to be throwing with anticipation and took advantage of his decisiveness. The Bengals made us one dimensional and CMC an afterthought.

We clearly have an issue adapting even though we have talent all over the field. The exception this year was the Eagles game, as I previously stated.

I don't know about that... I can't really agree. This seems like a hot take off last night more than anything, the Cleveland game everyone was banged up and Purdy still led them down the field and got a chip shot attempt. If Moody makes the kick we don't even revisit that game.

But agree to disagree.

purdy is not exactly the issue in my opinion it seems to be shanny treating him like he's already a perennial mvp contender. After a couple ints its ok to call the game a bit differently so that your young QB can slow the game down, that's the point of having a team with weapons.

Big nose likes to double down though, which is not only bad coaching but also bad for developing your qb long term, again the sky isn't falling not even close and i wouldn't be surprised if yall rematched in the SB. But you would like for a little bit more championship level mettle and coaching shown from him when his QB unravels a bit.

Especially since he also got BEASTS like mcacfrey and deebo
