Hard not to. Look at the Daniel Joneses and the Justin Herberts around the league. And then you have Purdy over here getting paid less than long snappers to go out there and actually throw more passes to his team than the other team consistently.

that was effectively the perfect defensive call because they were going to run that screen. you could see with CMC squatting down to clear the passing lane. If they'd had the CB do anything but that, that's a different situation entirely.
