Well, how about he stop the war on drugs which has only increased under Obama. As a matter of fact the Feds are most likely going crack down on Colorado, and Washington for the legalization of weed. Marijuana legalization victories could be short-lived | Reuters As most of you already know the war on drugs hurt minorities more, and only help to increase the the prison industrial complex.

I'm glad we got some from of health reform but lets keep it 100. Obama really didn't push for the public option like most progressives wanted. The affordable care act is almost identical to the republican's health care plan in the 90s. Again it is better than nothing, but its a old republican plan. Therefore calling him a Rockefeller Republican is not off base.
I think Cornell is right in most of the things he is saying, I just wish he didn't use the term " in Blackface" Adding the blackface part is unnecessary, especially if you know the history of blackface and minstrel shows.
I can't speak for Cornell, but I don't think Obama has to speak out on all the ills of the Black Community. I do wish he was more progressive though. Maybe Dr. West and Tavis Smiley are bitter because Obama didn't go to the Black State of the Union, or for some other reason, but it doesn't mean they don't have some valid points. Too many Black people give Obama a free pass (I'm not saying you are one of them). I think we should support Obama but we need to hold him accountable too.
