One thing these shows definitely sell you on is that the Bellas can't stand each other's spouses. Brie is perpetually sick of John's shyt. :mjlol:
Brie: John never makes time for our family

Nikki: My man is a part of this family, and he's basically like my husband, so...

Brie: Yeah but he's not though.

This whole thing just exposes that all of this has been a work.

Just think about it.

The whole thing that Total Divas & Total Bellas and even WWE TV has been playing up is that John would never marry Nikki and all of that was leading up to John proposing to Nikki at Wrestlemania.

So, for me I wonder how much of a work is all of this?

Were they always aware that they were getting married, but pretended to not for reality TV?

I mean, think about it. Would the WWE have let Miz & Maryse taunt Nikki about "never getting married" if they didn't already know that John was going to propose at Wrestlemania?

That went on for months.

Were we really supposed to believe that they didn't know John was going to propose?

And if we knew, then Nikki had to know, which makes me wonder if their whole relationship is at least partially a work.

A lot of the wedding and engagements were fudged for TV. For example, The Nattie & TJ wedding was purely ceremonial and staged. According to gossip sites, they'd been married at the courthouse for several months before the taping. Clearly Brian & Brie were already engaged before the staged engagement for Total Divas. All of Eva Marie's weddings (both civil and ceremonial, the secrecy around the first and the family drama around the second) seemed to be staged for TV. The bit with Vinnie proposing to Cameron looked staged AF. So much of the Lana wedding drama looked worked, even if the ceremonies were the real thing.

I assume Nikki and John have been engaged for a while.

I think it's safe to assume at least half the relationships you see on reality TV are a work to some degree. In this case, yeah, there's no way you could watch this thinking they didn't know Cena was going to propose well in advance if you watched Smackdown this past year. All of Nikki's feuds leading to Mania had other women making fun of her because Cena would never marry her, culminating in Cena finally getting involved during Mania season. They knew and planned both shows around this.

Cena probably proposed privately and they just decided to flip it into a storyline.

Remember Paige and her fake ass bullshyt with Kevin?

In sequence this shyt is funny....

First this horribly awkward proposal and acceptance.

Drama immediately follows, as she obviously never wanted to fake accept the fake proposal.

Finally, the bullshyt masquerade ends.

Later on she's basically :manny:
