That nikka was strategic wit it, he needed them at first thats how he became mainstream with Say It, but after he got that exposure he dropped albums on the low with little promotion so he can get thru the deal and started ramping up the intensity level as the deal expired.
I thought it was weird at first how close together the release of Memories Don't Die and Love Me Now was but now it makes perfect sense.
Future and Frank Ocean did something similar and it worked well for them
