listened to this last night... at the gym lmao. came in and saw some posters saying it wasn't gym music and I learned that the hard way.

but i was feelin it for the most part. nothing too mind blowing or surprising . very "of the times" and typical of the 2016 sound.

but im lookin for that 2018 sound right now though :youngsabo:

and I know tory is capable of it. he just didn't do it here :jbhmm:

production is extremely top notch though thats for sure :whoo: tory's always worked w producers who have been lowkey miles ahead of the generic, popular producers of today.

he saw how much people went apeshyt over that beat switch drake's NWTS opener (tuscan leather) and incorporated that into the first track here... the beat switch here is :gladbron:

I can't tell if this album is a track-for-track replica of what every other hot rapper/singer's sound is right now... :sas2:or if every other rapper/singer sounds like this because Tory worked on their projects? :sas1:

I never really got into Tory or heard much of his music so u wasn't really anticipating this, but I gave it a listen this morning and I actually like a lot of this album, production is nice and fits him, his singing ain't bad at all (tho nothing amazing) and he's really gliding on some of tracks too when he's rapping.

I get what people are talking about tho when they say he's lacking some of his own style, not a bad thing to be versatile but he really sounds like other people on a few tracks, other than that this album is pretty solid.
nothing worse than lazy fans . Never bumped his mixtapes but making assumptions. Not tryna single you out but shyts outta control

Album is OK...I'm assuming his label wanted him to go the r&b route. Like another poster said he has some nice hardcore tracks like Tim Duncan, Real Addresses, Diego, The Mission....etc. This album fits more in line with his ChixTapes. He does both well but he when raps it does sounds like he's biting the flow of other rappers but most of his shyt still sounds good.

As far as this album goes, Dirty Money and Guns and Roses are real nice.

yep as I said before, that was my only fear when he signed was him going the r&b route. I feel he is his best when it's 50/50
