I’m a old 90s head and this is my first time listening to a Tory Lanez album. I usually don’t listen to these new cats but the drama surrounding it and these comments made me check it out.....

I like the fact that he took it to the mic instead of just being a Twitter Finger Internet Chump with it. He put out a very good album and addressed every hater by name. I respect the fk out of that.

That is what made good beef in the 90s when you had to wait for the music to drop to hear what they had to say.

If you like R&B music this nikka has the best slow jam catalogue of the entire new generation if you ask me. If 6LACK had more content I'd crown him instead but he doesn't have enough music to dig through.

Rap wise he has crazy bars but most of it isn't based on any one subject so it depends on what you mean by substance. But he has it all, he's got rap disses (dude basically ended Don Q whether NY nikkas wanna accept that or not), he's got party songs, he's got those braggadocio raps, he's got the smooth cigar mafioso raps, you name it. And if you fukk with Nas then you know Nas is no stranger to any of this. But it depends on what you want.

Tory Lanez is in NO WAY, shape, form, or fashion on Nas’s level of writing, themes, subject matter, flows, or messages don’t even try it.

Nobody said he's on his level, relax. I'm just saying if you like Nas, he's got songs that resemble different personas of Nas throughout the years. He's got some Esco/Firm type of tracks here and some songs that may remind you of the more recent LIG era Nas there.

It's no different than saying if you like Jay Z you should check out J. Cole. No one is saying J. Cole is as good as Jay Z, but someone who likes certain aspects of what Jay does may enjoy J. Cole.

Exactly. It's not even that he's refuting it, it's the fact that months later his story regarding the shooting is still inconsistent as fukk and its the one topic on this album that he withholds details about constantly. He tells us what led up to an event he never goes into detail about.

You can’t get medical records from hospitals. The shyt is illegal. No one is allowed to make copies let alone look at them.

Y’all do going to have to start using common sense. All these “sources” should have been confirmed the first week she got hit. Not 2 months after and definitely not the day he drops a album.

Don Q had better bars in that exchange. From an emcee standpoint anyway. Look. I’m not bout to sit here and let nikkas act like this nikka is some elite emcee or somethin. He’s def dope. But like I said before. He’s very straight forward. He’s not even a better emcee than a cat like Banks. His strengths are being able to mimic alotta styles and his flow and delivery is really good. nikkas will let flow fool em everytime tho.

He does not tho. And plenty people talk about things in hip hop cause there’s nothing new under the sun. Nas has a level of nuance and poetry to his shyt that Tory just doesn’t remotely come close to. Their approach is completely different. Tory isn’t even himself. Dude is def a savant tho. It makes for dope music.
