I honestly think Tory is arguing semantics when he says he didn’t “shoot” Meg. He probably shot the ground and fragments hit meg in the foot, so he technically didn’t shoot Meg directly.

I haven't listened only read the lyrics for the songs and it's exactly this.

There's a reason why he never actually goes into detail once about what happened in the car, but mentioned flirting with Kylie and before ya'll say it's an open case, why include the line about her back being turned so you couldn't even know it was me?

Like what is he trying to imply actually? The police found shell casings and he was the only one arrested with a weapon. Even if he didn't shoot her exactly and she just got shrapnel or whatever, he's still trash for pulling out a gun and shooting at her, regardless of the bullet actually hitting her.

And if that does turn out to be the case, he's extra lame for talking about it like this and playing the victim. Nothing would excuse this shyt, but acknowledging you may have an alcohol/drug problem, sincerely apologizing and going to rehab would have been a much better look than whatever his goal was with this album.
