If we're having a serious discussion about this and not just snark, the real problem isn't just the hypocracy. It's that dude is involved with a criminal element and leaving himself open to all sorts of extortion.
Also, if I was the mayor of the 5th biggest city in North America, and I wanted to smoke crack, I'd like to think I wouldn't be dumb enough to smoke crack in a crack house with people around. Hell, I'd do my best to make sure no one ever knew I smoked crack besides whoever I paid to buy it for me. So not only does he smoke crack, he can't even be smart about it. Either that or he thought he was untouchable.
